Lance AhernWhen Google announced the Google Fiber for Communities competition, the Anchorage IT community rallied to support the Municipality team which was preparing the official Anchorage response. Lance will discuss the Anchorage proposal, and what comes next.

About Lance Ahern
Lance Ahern currently serves as the IT Manager for the Alaska Department of Public Safety. Lance is best known for founding Internet Alaska, the first ISP (Internet Service Provider) in Alaska, on April 1, 1994. He also started Fort Nocs, to provide secure online payment processing for Internet-based merchants, in 1998.
